Synopsis
Just started in Medicinal chemistry or interested in learning more about it? The SCI Foundation medicinal chemistry online workshop has been designed by professional Medicinal chemists to provide insight into:
• What are the key principles and technical factors (potency, physical chemistry, pharmacokinetics).
• How does a contemporary medicinal chemist optimise these factors to make medicines: Best practice for objectively applying the scientific method in a team environment, giving practical experience of data analysis.
Teams of delegates will work through real-world tactical medicinal chemistry optimisation with expert facilitators drawn from the pharmaceutical industry.
Attendees
This event is suitable for scientists embarking on a career in Medicinal chemistry (e.g. during first 2 years), those considering this as a career option (e.g. Undergraduates, PhDs, Industrial placement students) and scientists from other disciplines working on discovery projects (e.g. biology, DMPK). No prior knowledge is required, the facilitators will ensure an appropriate learning experience for all delegates.
Places for this event are limited and due to this being a popular topic, the event is likely to be at capacity in a short space of time.
