Jun Fan

Biography
Professor Jun Fan graduated from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2003, and received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from McMaster University, Canada in 2005 and Princeton University, USA in 2011 utilising phase field model to study phase transition in alloys and soft matter.
From 2011 to 2013, she was at the University of Chicago, USA conducting research on coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations of proteins as a postdoc fellow. Afterwards, she went to the City University of Hong Kong. She is a full professor at the department of Materials Science and Engineering. Her research fields include computational materials science, biophysics, battery, water purification, and catalysis.
