Professor Tom Van Gerven is Professor in Process Intensification at KU Leuven and Head of the Process Engineering for Sustainable Systems section. His expertise is situated in the use of alternative energy forms (light, ultrasound) for chemical processes, in particular synthesis, crystallisation, extraction and leaching. In this webinar, the use of ultrasound is explored for multiphase processing, with special focus on crystallisation and solvent extraction.
